West Physics is pleased to announce the immediate opening of its first permanent field office location in Los Angeles, California. This office joins our established Seattle office to further enhance our presence and responsiveness to customers on the West coast. Both technical as well as business development resources will be based at this new location, and we are very excited for the service advantages that this will provide to our growing base of California customers as well as those in surrounding states. With the opening of the Los Angeles Field Office, West Physics now serves customers throughout the United States from 10 office locations (Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, Philadelphia, Boston, Orlando, Kansas City, Albuquerque, and our headquarters in Atlanta). Thank you to our customers that have enabled us to grow and evolve our organization, without whose trust and patronage these milestones would not be possible!
On May 15, 2014, the Joint Commission announced a delay in the implementation of their imaging standards changes affecting MRI, CT and NM/PET. As a result, the Joint Commission now states that the projected implementation date for the new standards will be in July 2015 and that additional standards updates that were planned for 2015 will be incorporated into the standards at that time. A link to the Joint Commission announcement is available here: http://www.jointcommission.org/prepublication_diagnostic_imaging_services_requirements. West Physics maintains close contact with the JC staff to ensure that our customers have the most up-to-date information and we will be using the additional time available to further prepare and enhance our JC-related service offerings.
West Physics is pleased to announce that we have opened a new field office in Kansas City. This field office will help us to better serve our many customers in Missouri and Kansas, as well as in Nebraska and Iowa. This location joins Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, Boston, Seattle, Orlando and Albuquerque; bringing the total number of West Physics fully-staffed locations to nine and further enhancing our nationwide efficiency and service. We are very excited to expand our premium-level medical physics support to more customers in the U.S. Heartland!
We are thrilled that we have just this week signed an agreement with GE Healthcare to be their exclusive partner in providing NEMA acceptance testing services for their customers’ Nuclear Medicine (NM) / Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scanners. This agreement expands the already successful relationship that we have with GE in providing ACR accreditation support services to their customers in a turn-key and convenient fashion. We appreciate and enjoy working with an outstanding technical, sales and marketing team at GE Healthcare and could not be more pleased that GE continues to rely on West Physics for providing their customers with best-in-class medical physics services.
